Navigation

Start by selecting a Setting from the list or searching for a Setting by Name or Keyword. Once you find the Setting you're interested in or a Menu containing Settings you want to explore, tap the Setting Name to dive deeper.

Indicates a Sub-Menu
Indicates an Individual Setting

If you select a Menu item the list will change to reflect the various Settings and sub-menus within the selected item. If you select an individual Setting, the Details View for the selected Setting will be displayed.

 

Menu Items

Each Primary Menu (Sensor, Video and System) is color-coded.

(green) Indicates a Sensor Menu item
(blue) Indicates a Video Menu item
(salmon) Indicates a System Menu item

 

Sub-Menu Items

A list of Settings found in a selected Menu. Each Setting is color-coded accorded to the Primary Menu. Below the Menu Path is a group of boxes.

Each box represents a Setting within the sub-menu.

  • An empty box with a white outline represents a sibling Setting within the sub-menu.
  • An empty box with a black outline represents the current Setting's position within the sub-menu.
  • A solid white box represents default Setting upon entering the sub-menu.

 

 

Details

The various details pertaining to the selected Setting are displayed in the Details View.

Type indicates the type of Setting.

  • The options are Checkbox, Range, Checkbox with Range and Section.
    • Checkbox - enables or disables a Setting.
    • Range - allows a range of values by rotating the joystick.
    • Checkbox with Range - enables or disables a Setting and simultaneously allows a value to be selected by rotating the joystick.
  • Selection - requires that the joystick be pressed in order to select an option.
  • Default - indicates the default value of a given setting where it applies.
  • Options - indicate the available options or range for a given setting where it applies.
  • Explanation - displays an in-depth description of a given setting's functionality.
  • User Manual Page - indicates the corresponding page in the Camera's User Manual.
  • Menu Path - displays an ordered list of Settings and the specific Navigation path to the selected Setting.
  • Email - will automatically compose an email with the Setting's detail information.

 

 

Sorting

Combined, the three Primary Menus; Sensor, Video and System offer hundreds of settings. To make it more palatable there are three ways to sort the various settings.

  • All Settings Alphabetically - displays all of the settings ordered by the Setting Name.
  • All Settings By Menu - displays all of the settings ordered by the Menu the appear in.
  • Top Level Settings Only - displays the first group of settings available in each of the three Menus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Searching

A search can be performed from the main list of settings or by pressing the Menu item on the tab bar. Searching is case insensitive and will begin filtering results even with a partial term.

Terms can be Setting Names or Keywords associated with a particular Setting or Settings.

 

Keywords

Each Setting is tagged with various Keywords where applicable. Keywords may be used to help search for specific Settings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bookmarks

A Sub-Menu or Setting can be bookmarked by tapping the bookmark icon in either the Sub-Menu or Setting views. Once an item has been added to your bookmarks, the bookmark icon will disappear.

You can review your bookmarks by tapping the Bookmarks item in the tab bar. By tapping the Edit button, items can be reordered or removed from the list.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charts

There are several charts included with the application.

  • False Color Chart - False Color displays color-coded stripes where each color represents an exposure value relative to the camera's current View. The RAW view offers the most accurate representation of exposure because it is not affected by White Balance, ISO and Look settings.
  • Color to IRE - Color to IRE displays a table of color codes and their respective IRE values for various Views.
  • Focus Chart - Focus Chart is a zoomable Siemens Star Chart. When Edge Highlight is enabled the lines in the center of the star show glow sharply as they become more in focus.
  • REDCODE Maximum Frame Rates - RC Max and Base FPS Charts display tables with the maximum frame rates based quality and type of media.
  • Shutter Speed - Shutter Speed Chart displays a list of shutter speeds and the corresponding Shutter Angle.
  • User Keys - User Keys displays a list of available functions that may be assigned to the camera's User Keys.

 

 

Time vs. Space Calculator

The calculator can be used to estimate the amount of time or the space required for storage based on the resolution, aspect ration, frame rate and quality. The results are estimates as the codec is variable bit rate and can be impacted by a variety of factors.
